With an ever growing collection of vintage fabric, patterns and trims from the 40's to the 70's, WittyDawn creates beautiful and unique items just for you. Initially launched as 'Audrey's Cat' in 2010 but I changed the name to WittyDawnUK early in 2014 - Google ' WittyDawn' and you'll find various links for me!
I have a wider range of items available elsewhere online so if you see something but want to buy through Etsy please contact me and I will set it up on here for you.
PRIVACY :
I Dawn Witt am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from ETSY. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on ETSY, I will receive your username and email address.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With ETSY to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
In addition I hold no customer email, address or payment details in my own databases

Shipping
Normal policy is that Items will be posted within 3 working days of receiving payment BUT ....
IMPORTANT MESSAGE - Due to Impact of COVID-19 posting of items may take 2 to 3 weeks , Only posting within UK at the moment NO NON UK POSTING until further notice.
Using 1st Class within the UK - for items weighing under 1 kg and small parcel size
Using 2nd Class within UK - for items over 1 kg and/or over small parcel size
Airmail for overseas.
Some higher value items or particularly hard to source items will be sent as recorded delivery at my descretion .
I ALWAYS obtain proof of postage.
Where there is a significant over charge I will refund excess once actually postage is determined - bear in mind I do have a small charge to cover my packing and travel costs as well .
Please note I will combine postage for multiple purchases, charging the higher postage charge on the first item with subsequent items charged at the lower rate.
All items will be tissue wrapped in sealed plastic envelopes.
In the case of glass, crockery and other breakables items will be well padded and wrapped and where possible sent in cardboard boxes.
If your Item doesn't reach you ? - I use Royal Mail for the majority of my items and it's is rare for packages to get lost or delayed. HOWEVER I refund only after 10 working days in the UK and 21 working days for overseas. After that time you will get a full refund if you order has not arrived.
